Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED cell)

We Mitians, believe that Knowledge, Research, Innovation, and Skill development are the main tools for the nation building and we are committed to meet the expectations. We wish to operate in three dimensions-local, national and global and will prove ourselves outthinking and outdoing on quality quest under worldwide colossal competition. We have dared to dream beyond expectations as we wish to follow the glorious path of academic excellence. In this pursuit, MIT has a well-developed ED cell established in 2009. Aim of ED Cell is to create awareness among students about entrepreneurship, develop entrepreneurship qualities, motivate and guide them to make their career as entrepreneur and to provide common platform for them to explore entrepreneurial competencies. Students are updated about the current schemes, grants and aids provided by the central and state government departments related to entrepreneurship promotion through various awareness programs.

It accomplishes its objectives:

  • By providing business opportunity guidance.
  • By equipping the learners with the ability to function dynamically and acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to float their own enterprises.
  • By grooming more and more students to explore new and different business ideas and thoughts from every small aspect of his or her life.

Various activities conducted for students under the flagship of ED cell:

  1. Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs
  2. E-Learning programs on Entrepreneurship
  3. Entrepreneurship Awareness Faculty Development programs
  4. Introduction and awareness of various Government schemes for young startups
  5. Expert lectures promoting Innovations.
  6. Awareness drive/workshops about the idea of ‘Innovation and Start up’.
  7. Various competitions: Idea stage, Business plan, Prototype stage etc.
  8. Motivation of student through local Entrepreneurs.
  9. Attending/Organizing, E-summits, Conferences, Seminars and other Entrepreneurship Fests
  10. Exposure/awareness visits to start-ups, incubation centers, venture capitals, Incubation/research parks
  11. Identification of different local/National problems to be worked upon(Identification of innovation/Start-up Ideas)
  12. Participation and awareness of students in various startup and project activities.
  13. Awareness programs by Government Officials of DIC, Industrialists, Banks and almost all the Governmental resource centers for Students to start entrepreneurship activities.
Convener (Dr. Kshitij Singhal)

Dr. Kshitij Shinghal obtained his bachelor’s degree (B.E) in Electronics Engineering From Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Master’s degree (M.Tech.) in Digital Communication from U.P. Technical University, Lucknow and doctorate (Ph.D) in Wireless Sensor Networks with the School of Electronics  from Shobhit University, Meerut . He is currently working as an Associate Professor with 20 years of experience in teaching, administration and research. His research areas of interest include Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Ad-Hoc Networks. He has published more than 50 research articles in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He is currently a lifetime member of 07 International Societies. He is an editorial board member, advisory board member and reviewer of more than 20 International Journals both Scopus and ISI Indexed. He is an elected fellow member FIAET, and FISEEE. He has reviewed 121 research articles for leading International Journals.. He has written 10 books for engineering students and 5 books on self help. “Biggest Secrets of Time Management Revealed” is one of his best books. He has won Top Reviewers for Cross-Field award in September 2018. He recently received award at AKTU by honorable Vice Chancellor on Foundation Day of the university. He has attended number of Entrepreneurship development programs. He has conducted various Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps sponsored by DST. He has organized number of Industrial tours for the students.
